Before making a booking, please read the Terms & Conditions below.
By booking with Best of Scotland Tours you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
All bookings must be confirmed in writing (e.g. by email).


The daily rate includes itinerary planning, an 8 hour working day, beginning around 0900hrs and, ending around 1700hrs, vehicle & associated costs, professional driver/guide services, and taxes.


Guests are limited to one medium sized suitcase per person. A surcharge of £5.00 per day, per extra piece of luggage, may be applied. Any additional luggage not declared during the booking process will only taken at the drivers discretion.

Client to cover own entrance fees, accommodation and food. The client will cover the guides accommodation and food. Any ferry crossing on the agreed itinerary to be paid entirely by client.  For coach tours, accommodation and food are the responsibility of the agent/client. Any out-of-pocket expenses to be met by the agent/client.
Best of Scotland Tours does not provide child seats on our tours. It is the legal responsibility of guests travelling with children to provide child seats for a travelling child that complies with current Scottish legislation.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is due at the time of booking upon confirmation and acceptance of tour fee, with the final balance to be paid no later than 28 days of the tour commencing. On extended driver/guided tours there will be an overnight subsistence payment of £95.00 per night to cover the guides accommodation and food. Ferry bookings will be paid in advance by the client along with the deposit. Any pre-booked visits to be paid by the client along with the deposit.

All fees are quoted in British Pound Sterling.

Payment by Bank Transfer or Credit Card through PayPal accepted. If paying cash only British Pounds Sterling will be accepted.

Cancellation of a tour up to one calendar month prior to the scheduled start date will accrue no penalty apart from the 25% deposit. For cancellation between one calendar month and 7 days of the scheduled start date, 50% of the outstanding fee will be payable. Cancellation less than 7 days before the scheduled start date will require 100% of the outstanding balance to be paid. Deposits are non-refundable in the case of any cancellation. Cancellation must be advised in writing. 

Best of Scotland Tours cannot accept liability for losses or additional expenses incurred due to delays or change in transportation (air, rail, sea or other services), technical problems to transport, sickness, weather, strike or other causes which are outside our control. Should Best of Scotland Tours have to cancel your booking for any unforeseen reasons any monies already received will be refunded in full. Best of Scotland Tours will not accept liability for any expenses over and above this.
Except for during travel, Best of Scotland Tours does not provide insurance cover. Customers are responsible for their own travel insurance. Luggage is conveyed at owners’ own risk.
